She’d done everything “right.” Gone to college, married, and worked hard to land a hotshot job as a CEO.
So why did she feel empty? She took a moment to pray.
We go to God in prayer, but have you ever surrendered to God? There is a difference between you having a plan and surrendering to God’s plan.
“Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God.” – Romans 12.
Our greatest sacrifice in this life is surrendering to God’s purpose for us.
For the sake of God, we surrender. Surrendering to God means accepting your life might not go as you initially planned. Surrendering means letting go of plans rooted in ego or capitalist temptations sent to distract us from doing our real work.
How can we surrender to God, even in times when we feel unsure or alone? Start each day by saying, “God please use me.” And then be willing to accept whatever God has in store for you.
