Spirit Gave Us This Power. Are You Using It?

Liberation is a path that Spirit has prepared for us, but it is a path that we must choose to walk. Spirit gave us all the power of free will. Now we must ask ourselves: Are we willing to choose liberation? It will require sacrifice. But it will also lead us down paths beyond our wildest dreams.

We all have free will. This means God can lead us to the path of liberation but it’s up to us to decide to follow it.

Exercising free will can be difficult because we know every choice we make, or don’t make, will change the course of our lives.

Corinthians 10:23 reminds us of our continued struggle with free will. “You say, ‘I am allowed to do anything’—but not everything is good for you. You say, ‘I am allowed to do anything’—but not everything is beneficial.”

Here we’re reminded free will comes with responsibility, consequences, and sacrifice.

Choosing liberation will not always be easy. In fact, it will require sacrifice. But our sacrifices are how we show our devotion to the Spirit.

Our liberated futures don’t depend on chance. They depend on our choices

When free will feels overwhelming, let's remember that choosing the path that draws us closer to Spirit is sacred work.

In this way, free will becomes an opportunity for us to show our love for God through how we treat one another.

Liberation can only occur when our choices reflect the love we have for God and each other. By exercising our free will we can ask ourselves in real time, “How am I devoting myself to Spirit, today?”
