Spirit Created Specific Service Roles For Each Of Us – Which Are You?

Faith begins with service. Service work is sacred action. What role do you play right now? How has someone helped you? Right now we need each other more than ever. Do any of these roles resonate with you?

Prophets:

The role of the prophet is to speak for Spirit. A prophet can be tapped at any time to help receive Spirit’s message.

How do we listen for God’s voice?

Evangelists:

An evangelist introduces others to God, and instills in them the desire to do the same for others.

We don’t need a church to help others feel loved. How can we help others connect with God’s love for us? How can we make introductions to faith feel inviting and exciting?

Modern-Day Shepherds:

Like a shepherd guiding its flock, a modern-day faith shepherd would be a pastor, mentor, or spiritual teacher. These roles are responsible for teaching us about faith and how we function as a community.

How can we teach future generations about faith in ways rooted in Black liberation?

Spirit has laid a path for each of us that asks us to take on one of these service roles. Service is one of the most divine actions we can take in our faith journeys.

Which of these service roles feels most aligned with your spirit?

How does service show up in your daily life? No service role is more important than another.

Any act of service is sacred because it strengthens our faith and communities, uniting us in our love for Spirit. And liberation begins inside of unity.
