His Legacy Reminds Us To Walk With God
God is with us everywhere we go, but walking with God is an intentional choice. One man chose to walk with God every day of his life. His story reminds us that taking the path to liberation and sticking with it is a choice.
Enoch is mentioned in the Bible only a handful of times, yet God granted him the ultimate grace. At the end of his life, God simply took him away so he did not have to experience death.
Enoch is only one of two people directly transported to heaven. What made him deserving of such a blessing from God?
Enoch appeared to be a regular guy with no special talents or qualities.
What he did have was unshakable faith.
Enoch lived for 365 years, each year bringing him closer to God. Enoch walked with God, prophesying and spreading God’s message everywhere he went.
Many around him chose to deny God, but Enoch’s faith never wavered.
Even before God liberated Enoch, he was liberated in spirit because he actively chose God every day. By choosing to walk with God, he chose the path of liberation.
So strong was his faith that even when faced with disappointments or loneliness he stayed the course, never straying from the path God had laid for him.
Enoch’s story is a testament that walking the path of liberation is a choice, one we’re tasked with making every day. Every morning we must ask ourselves, “How will I walk the path of liberation today?”
Let us all be taken away for our devotion to liberation.
