Why Change Brings Us Closer To God

“The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.” – 1 Samuel 10:6.

Our main purpose in life is to build a deep relationship with God, and to surrender to the path God has laid for us. God’s path is full of twists, turns, spirals, dead ends, and forks that we can’t predict.

These will require us to change direction as a means of staying the course.

As we undergo change to meet our path, our relationship with God will adjust to support the changes God is requiring of us.

There will be times where we’re rigorously communing with Spirit. Then there will be times we’re juggling relationships, jobs, routines, and dreams, and our communication with Spirit will become more sporadic.

But our being busy doesn’t mean we’re not spiritually aligned, just that we’re navigating the changes, blessings, and lessons God’s timing has specifically placed on our path.

Especially if we’re asking for change to happen, God will send us the same lesson until we’re ready to accept that the change we’re seeking comes from within

Embracing change means embracing ourselves.

Our connection to God will change over time. Embracing change doesn’t mean we’re neglecting God. It actually means we’re asking God to draw us closer. God is change
