Three Ways God Calls Our People To Be In Community
Beautiful, impactful things happen whenever we're in a loving community with our people. Our unity is a part of God's will for us. Whether we're leading a movement together or simply passing one another by in the grocery store, realizing that we're connected is crucial.
Us Over Everything
Ephesians 4:2-6 reminds us that Christ calls us to this one Body, and He expects us to be united with that Body. When we choose unity with our people despite our differences, we embody our commitment to Christ's Body.
Show Concern
God Calls us to be a unified community (1 Corinthians 12:25-27). Although anti-Black systems try to persuade us to act as if we're just individuals, we're not. As part of the Body of Christ, we're called to show concern for each other.
We've always been each other's business and live God's will when we move in unity.
Share Your Gifts
We all have God-given gifts. 1 Peter 4:8-11 reminds us that we must use those gifts to love and serve others without complaining or resentment.
Consider the gifts you naturally have. What's one way you can be of service to others using your unique gift? Think big.
As communal people, we've always known that we thrive when united. We must remember this, commit to being a part of God's Body, and always answer the call to be a unified community.
