The Scripture You Need To Remember To Embrace Courage Over Fear
Anti-Blackness wants us to live in fear of standing up for ourselves. When we’re afraid we forget the magnitude of just how powerful we are, making the idea of protest seem impossible.
Because of this, one of the most important reminders in the Bible is Deuteronomy 20:1.
”When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.”
The police state has always terrorized us as a way to keep us in line. But our ancestors refused to cower time and again.
Even with Spirit telling him death was near, in his final speech MLK stated, “Whenever men and women straighten their backs up, they are going somewhere, because a man can’t ride your back unless it is bent.”
It takes courage to protest. It takes even more courage to remain loving in a world that would see us turn to hate.
Like our ancestors we must choose courage. We must take up space on the frontlines, knowing God is right there with us.
Our alignment with Spirit Is our ultimate protection. Making our voices heard is holy work.
