Spirit Is Guiding You, But You’re Still Responsible For Steering Your Ship

”The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” -John 3:8.

Spirit is always guiding us even if we don’t know what path it’s taking us down. But we must trust that the wind Spirit blows into our sails is leading us towards what’s meant for us.

The Yoruba Orisha Oyá controls storms, including the wind. She also guides the dead. Much of her powers work to make pathways for change.

Drawing from Oya’s wisdom, is there anything currently blocking your spiritual path? How can you clear this obstacle

Sometimes the path Spirit presents feels scary because it requires us to evolve from who we’ve been, demanding we work towards being the person Spirit is asking us to be.

What changes do you need to make to align with the path Spirit is presenting for you? Do these changes scare or excite you? Like the great Octavia Butler said, “God is change.”

Don’t be afraid of change. Be afraid of not becoming the person you were destined to be.

Show up for your path and follow it, knowing Spirit is always with you.
