Could She Kill Her Own Son To Save Earth?

Before there was Earth there was Amma. Amma started out as a cosmic egg with all materials needed to build Earth inside her shell.

One day Amma planted a seed inside herself – over time the seed split in two.

The seeds grew. Ogo was born first and after seeing the universe Amma was creating he escaped, set on building a universe that would destroy Amma’s.

But he didn’t have Amma’s powers. Amma cursed Ogo, transforming him into a fox who would always search for his other half – the unborn twin.

The second twin, Nommo, was born and became ruler of the universe. Nommo created eight twin-spirits - the original ancestors of the Dogon people. Amma built an ark and sent them to Earth.

Riding in the ark Nommo uttered Amma’s words of creation - bestowing Earth with the magic of abundant creativity.

Capitalism has fooled us into living within a scarcity mindset – that it’s us versus everyone else and we have to beat the competition. This was Ogo’s downfall.

Amma understood creation takes time, community, and faith in abundance as a resource for our liberation.

Do your creations align with your spirituality or fall into capitalism’s trap?

Like Amma we must remember - if you want to go fast go alone, but if you want to go far go together.
